Himmel und Humus
About heaven and hummus
Himmel & Humus is a community-supported agriculture (CSA) project in Nieklitz, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Led by Amelie, Sophie and Laura, the collective grows fresh organic vegetables – regeneratively, cooperatively and locally. Their wise approach combines agriculture with social change: short transport routes, cyclical working models, fair pay and the empowerment of women, queer people and marginalised groups in agriculture. As part of the Zukunftsort (place of the future) We are building the future Himmel & Humus sees itself as a learning and research space where community, climate protection and regional value creation are put into practice. This creates a model for how food systems can be designed to be regenerative, fair and sustainable.
