About BIG
BIG (Bergedorf's Insect-Friendly Community) is an initiative of people from Hamburg-Bergedorf who want to transform their gardens, balconies or other green spaces into flourishing, biodiverse habitats for mainly native plants, insects, birds and other small animals. Their wise path begins right on (or behind) their own doorstep: promoting biodiversity, enhancing habitats, working together and becoming aware of their own opportunities for action, even on a small scale.
