BIG – Bergedorf's Insect-Friendly Community

BIG (Bergedorf's Insect-Friendly Community) is an initiative by people from Hamburg-Bergedorf who want to transform their gardens, balconies and other green spaces into blossoming, biodiverse habitats for primarily native plants, insects, birds and other small animals. Their wise path begins right outside (or behind) their own front door: promoting biodiversity, enhancing habitats, working together and becoming aware of their own opportunities for action, even on a small scale.
