Ai Chin Wee

Ai Chin has worked around the world, managing projects and training World Bank/IFC teams in strategic thinking and results-orientated project design. After a successful career, she shifted her focus to the practice of regenerative agriculture and founded an organic farm and community gardens. She initiated the Kuching Natural Farmers’ Market in Malaysia, works with indigenous students and organises workshops to teach them how organic farming can be practised almost free of charge. Her wise path shows that real transformation lies in making knowledge accessible: healthy food for greater well-being, combined with the opportunity to generate additional income through simple organic farming methods.

In an interview with Markus, Ai Chin gave an insight into her work. One thing is particularly important to her: convincing people that it is not the immediate results of a project that count, but the long-term impact that actions and ideas can have on people and the environment.
